Project ’87 is a third-person interactive simulation rpg that focuses on the core of bonding between a father and son inside a family owned garage. Inspired by Heavy Rain, and Jalopy the games story of Project 87 is told through a specialized bonding mechanic, and in-game cinematography. Our team is compromised of students and professionals who are volunteering their time and energy to the project because we want to create something that is meaningful both personally and creatively. The purpose of the games development is to serve as my MFA Game Design Thesis Project at Laguna College of Art and Design, as well as provide feedback to players about what makes the core of Project ’87 so close to me which is bonding.
